Indian Institute of Advanced Studies:  IIAS is a research institute, and was set up by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 1964. It was originally the residence for Lord Dufferin, Viceroy of India, known as the Viceregal Lodge.  It was designed in Jacobethan style by Henry Irwin, a British architect. The construction that had started in 1880 took eight years to complete. Visiting this place is actually a walk through modern Indian history.

Scandal Point: Located on the western edge of Shimla, Scandal Point is one of the most visited tourist destinations. The bizarre name of this place, which is linked to many tales, especially one with the Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh, is still a mystery. Yet, it is one of the most charming points in Shimla.
